Berlusconi's Quotes

Nothing can better describe Silvio Berlusconi's persona as his own words. On this web page we have collected a list of snapshots of Italy's most famous man "personal statements" and comments on women, adversaries and everything. Some of them could make your hair curl.

Addressing German MEP Martin Schulz (who dared to criticise him), on Wednesday, 2 July, 2003 Mr Berlusconi said “I know a man who produces films on Nazi concentration camps, I'll put you forward for the role of  Kapo [guard picked from among the prisoners], you would be just perfect”. At that time the Italian prime minister chaired the European Council.

“Here I am depending on a mafia of judges” said Berlusconi on 7 March 2014, while awaiting the decision of Milan's Surveillance court, regarding his sentence for tax fraud (the judges and law professors had to decide between house arrest and public services).

“I am considered the best Italian entrepreneur since World War II,” Berlusconi declared in interview to Italian state television RAI, on Tuesday, 5 February 2013. “By everyone, by all the public rankings. Can you name another?”

I gave you your woman.

Tuesday, 26 February 2009. Apparently, this is what Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi whispered into French President Nicolas Sarkozy's ear, during a meeting. Mr Berlusconi denied it, French press quoted his (alleged) very words, in Italo-French: «Moi je t'ai donné la tua donna».

“I am bringing greetings from the United States, from... what's his name? Wait... some tanned guy. Ah... Barack Obama!

Sunday, 27 September 2009. During a public speech at the “1st National Day of Freedom”.

Then, reckoning it wasn't enough to make a wisecrack of the USA President's skin, he added a comment dedicate alsoto the First Lady Michelle Obama: “You won't believe it, but two of them went to the beach because the wife is tanned too”. Here's the video with Silvio's quip. On our YouTube channel we also have a video about the first time they met. That's also pretty odd.

“In a few months I'll be gone... I'll leave this shitty country that has sickened me... plain and simple.”

Wednesday, 13 July 2011, in a telephone conversation recorded by Italian police. Actually he didn't do it, as you might have realised.

On 18 February 2009 (Thursday) he joked - quite inappropriately - on Argentina's “death flights” by telling how they were carried out:
There is a nice day out, go out a bit to play. That makes you laugh, but it's dramatic.”
What all this had to do with a local Sardinia's election remains a mystery (here's the video).

Monday, 7 April 2008. On the radio, Silvio is a guest of Italian public broadcaster Rai's “Radio Anch'io” (“Radio Me Too”) programme.
